Fantastic accommodation. The staff and service were top-notch. ☺️ We didn't use the pool. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the sea. We felt welcome and pampered.

We will definitely be back to this wonderful hotel complex. The location is absolutely beautiful; you can start your first hikes right from the house, for example, the stunning Rouvas Gorge. Each cottage is tastefully built into the hillside within a charming garden with olive trees, flowering carob trees, and flowering shrubs. No one can see into the other terraces, and of course, no one could see onto our lovely terrace either. We, on the other hand, had a magnificent view of the mountains and the sunrise – wow! The pools are beautifully designed – it's hard to decide which is more beautiful: the heated family pool, the adults-only pool, or the jacuzzi on our terrace. And then there's the food: a dream. I've never eaten such delicious and varied Greek food. And last but not least, the service: Manolis is a top-notch manager: he oversees everything, yet is always friendly and attentive. We arrived late from the airport on our first evening: no problem at all, they had a wonderful meal ready for us. We didn't have hiking poles with us: no problem. Manolis lent us some. Everyone, the entire hotel staff, deserves high praise. Is it even possible to give six stars?

Η διαμονή μας στο Eleonas Country Village στον Ζάρο Κρήτης ήταν πραγματικά μαγευτική! Από τη στιγμή που φτάσαμε, νιώσαμε σαν στο σπίτι μας. Ο χώρος είναι πεντακάθαρος, περιποιημένος και μέσα στη φύση ,με υπέροχη θέα στα βουνά . Οι βίλες είναι άνετες, προσεγμένες σε κάθε λεπτομέρεια και ιδανικές για ξεκούραση και χαλάρωση. Αυτό όμως που έκανε τη διαμονή μας αξέχαστη ήταν η φιλοξενία του κυρίου Μανώλη, του ιδιοκτήτη. Ευγενικός, προσιτός και πάντα χαμογελαστός, φρόντισε να μη μας λείψει τίποτα. Μας έδωσε εξαιρετικές προτάσεις με αναλυτικό οδηγό για βόλτες και εκδρομές στην περιοχή και μας έκανε να νιώσουμε πραγματικά καλοδεχούμενοι. Το πρωινό ήταν πλούσιο, με φρέσκα τοπικά προϊόντα και σπιτικές γεύσεις που σε κάνουν να θες να μείνεις λίγο ακόμα. Ο χώρος της πισίνας και του εστιατορίου είναι απλά υπέροχος, με απόλυτη αίσθηση γαλήνης. Το Eleonas Country Village είναι ένας μικρός παράδεισος για όποιον αγαπά τη φύση, την ηρεμία και τη ζεστή κρητική φιλοξενία. Σίγουρα θα ξανάρθουμε ,και το προτείνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα!! Ευχαριστούμε για όλα , όλη την ομάδα και τους ιδιοκτήτες . ❤️ Our stay at Eleonas Country Village in Zaros, Crete was truly magical! From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The place is spotlessly clean, well-kept and surrounded by nature, with a wonderful view of the mountains. The villas are comfortable, attentive to every detail and ideal for rest and relaxation. But what made our stay unforgettable was the hospitality of Mr. Manolis, the owner. Polite, approachable and always smiling, he made sure that we didn't miss anything. He gave us excellent suggestions with a detailed guide for walks and excursions in the area and made us feel truly welcome. The breakfast was rich, with fresh local products and homemade flavors that make you want to stay a little longer. The pool area and restaurant are simply wonderful, with an absolute sense of peace. Eleonas Country Village is a little paradise for anyone who loves nature, tranquility and warm Cretan hospitality. We will definitely come back, and we highly recommend it!! We spent a wonderful week as a small family in a cozy cottage with our own heated pool! We truly enjoyed our stay — the staff were very kind and helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our host Manolis was fantastic, always ready with great tips for hikes and activities. He even treated us to his homemade olive oil tasting and shared his knowledge with us. It was an amazing vacation, and anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature will be perfectly happy at Eleonas Country Village!

What a fantastic place to stay. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating to us. The food was incredible every single day and was so authentic. The cottages were comfortable, private and quiet. This is the perfect place to explore central and south Crete (where the real Crete is) with fantastic hiking routes. Would highly recommend to everyone and certainly go back.

Cottage #8 There are no words to describe this unique place; Eleonas enchanted us. The people, the outstanding service, the delicious food, and the tranquility. You wake up to the sound of birds chirping and go to sleep with the scent of herbs in your nose. Manolis is an attentive host who makes sure his guests feel comfortable. The hiking map is an excellent starting point for excursions in the surrounding area, and tips for trips to the coast are also superbly described. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and the dinner buffet is varied and fun to choose and sample. Both pools invite you to swim and relax. We booked directly on site for next year.

Eleonas has a special place in me and my family's heart - we went back for our 4th time this Autumn, and I can't emphasize what an incredible establishment Eleonas is. Manolis, the owner, takes care of each and every one of his guests, the food is incredible and some of our favorite from Crete (very vegetarian friendly!), it's family/child friendly, but also with a touch of luxury for the adults with the private pool and sauna, and the entire staff is so warm and welcoming it really does feel like coming home. We look forward to returning for another stay next year and will miss the delicious Cretan cuisine and warmth while we wait.

It’s the best family friendly spot hands down in the Mediterranean. We love Manolis and his staff, they always go one step above the rest. Eleonas is a great for families looking for a more relaxing, nature filled and super fun vacation. The property has beautiful agriculture with old olive groves mixed with younger groves, yummy olive oil,gardens with herbs, Mediterranean plants and trees, and surrounded by nature. I feel the landscape really hugs you on each step you take through the property and also wraps around eqch cottage. I’ve enjoyed seeing how the gardens have matured and grown in over the past couple years. The pools are great and warm enough for a lot of fun at the beginning of October and we enjoyed the sauna that was added by the new pool when the kids were napping. The food was delicious, fresh, generous, and very high quality. Tons of beautiful dishes at each meal. We loved how the dinner is now buffet style and prepared in small portions. My favorite dishes were the zucchini flowers and stuffed mushrooms. Breakfast is also awesome - Tons of salads, eggs, always fresh bread, fruits and yogurt and pastries. For our early flight Manolis made our family breakfast to go, which other places have done for us in the past, but not like this, so good - fresh fruit, sandwiches, yogurt honey, pastries, cake, cheeses..truly amazing. There is a short walk to the lake, and a gorge and lots of hiking and other outdoors activities to do. Also fun to chill and enjoy the fresh air and quiet. It was our second stay in three years and we’ll forsure be back!

We had a magical time here and cannot recommend more highly. Everyone working here is so kind and welcoming. The pool is so beautiful with a view of the mountains. The food is really good, too. And the cabins are so charming. We also loved the Rouvas Gorge hike. A WONDERFUL place!!!!

It was a wunderful stay!

Room 23 was amazing, beautifully secluded and quiet, and I could enjoy the terrace all to myself and just take a quick dip in my private pool. Breakfast was very, very good, and there were always a variety of snacks from the kitchen. In the evening, the restaurant also offers delicious food and a wide variety on the menu. Some hiking trails start right from the hotel, and a few laps in the pool to wake up in the morning are no problem either. So, everything was excellent and highly recommended.
